When it comes to a great cocktail for brunch or a refreshing treat to sip on after dinner, this pineapple screwdriver mixture is the best. Not only does it take just seconds to whip up, but it's so refreshing with the pineapple juice and champagne combination.

If you're a fan of tropical drinks, say "aloha" to this delicious recipe. It's my version of a Hawaiin screwdriver, and certain to fill your tummy will pleasure.

Grab a tall glass and fill it with ice, sip - and enjoy. This is a bubbly and refreshing drink that everyone will love.

Speaking of delicious cocktail recipes, check out this Apple Cider Martini. It's another easy drink recipe that is perfect for any time of the year.

    Ingredients

Champagne - Use your favorite type of champagne for this fresh pineapple classic cocktail.

Pineapple juice - You can use freshly squeezed pineapple juice, or you can buy canned pineapple juice. Up to you. The difference between the two is that freshly squeezed has natural sugars, and canned pineapple juice MAY have added sugars, so be sure that you're reading the ingredients.

How to Make a Pineapple Screwdriver

The great thing about making pineapple cocktails is that they're fast and easy to do. Trust me when I say that this Hawaiian screwdriver is a breeze.

Step One: Add the ice cubes to the glass.

Step Two: Pour the pineapple juice and champagne over the top of the ice cubes.

    Variations

Add a fun garnish - Adding fresh mint, maraschino cherries, or even fresh pineapple chunks to the rim of the glass is never a bad idea. Use a piece of smoked pineapple to really kick it up a notch.

Add juice - You can add a splash of orange juice to the rest of the glass and then garnish with an orange peel for a fun twist. A squeeze of lime is nice as well.

Add different alcohol - The fun thing about making pineapple screwdriver cocktails is changing the type of alcohol added. Add vodka, white rum,  or tequila in place of the champagne. You can easily make pineapple mojitos, pineapple bourbon lemonade, or even a classic pina colada as well.

Line the rim - One of my favorite parts about making cocktails at home is lining the rim with something flavorful. Since this is a sweeter cocktail recipe, you can line the rim with sugar for even more sweetness. If you're a fan of sweet and salty, you can add salt to the rim of the glass as well.

Pitcher Sized - To make a pitcher of this you just need to make sure to keep the ratio 1:1. It is easier to quickly mix up to serve to guests.

    Common Questions

Can I use flavored alcohol for this recipe?

You bet! You can use coconut rum to mix with pineapple juice or any other type of flavored alcohol.

When should I serve this screwdriver drink?

This would be perfect for your next cocktail party! you can serve it to family and friends or whip it up for just you to enjoy.

How do I rim a glass?

The easiest way to line the rim of the glass is to add the sugar or the salt to a small plate and then use a clean finger to rub some water around the rim. Once there is liquid on the glass rim, turn the glass upside down and dip it into the sugar or the salt. It's as easy as that!

Can I turn this into a frozen cocktail?

If you want a frozen screwdriver, make it happen. Just add frozen pineapple juice to a blender, and then pour in the champagne and ice. This will give you a super cold and refreshing pineapple screwdriver cocktail every single time!

Can I make this simple cocktail recipe ahead of time?

I wouldn't. For the best flavor and taste, you'll want to make this cocktail as fresh as possible. Since it just takes a few minutes to make, I highly recommend making it fresh and serving it right away.

If for some reason, you can't make it fresh, the biggest thing to remember is that you don't want to add ice to the mixture at all. This will water it down and dilute the taste and flavor.

You can mix the juice and champagne, but don't add the ice. And make sure that you stir it really well before pouring it over ice, just in case it has settled some. This will keep the pineapple screwdriver tasting fresh and new every time.
