    Variations

Use different squares of chocolate - You can use milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, or any type of chocolate that you want. When it comes to gooey loaded s'mores bars, change it up and use different types of chocolate. That's the beauty of making this dish. You can even add semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Use graham cracker crumbs - If you don't want the recipe to have big pieces of s'mores in it, you can crumble up the crackers instead. There is no wrong way to add the crunchy graham crackers.

Sub in cookies - Skip the graham crackers and try adding these homemade oreo cookies.

Use large marshmallows - You can absolutely make gooey s'mores will all types of marshmallow sizes. If you use bigger-sized marshmallows, make marshmallow halves and cut them down so that they're smaller and will melt faster.

Layer the ingredients - Instead of just dumping all the ingredients into the pan, you can add a layer of chocolate, a layer of marshmallows, and then the crackers on top. This is a fun way to turn this into a layered s'mores dip recipe that still has all the flavor and taste of the s'mores casserole.

    How do I store leftovers?

This fun treat makes quite a large batch, so there's a high probability that you'll have leftovers Make sure to let the leftover s'mores casserole cool to room temperature, and then store any leftovers in an airtight container.

To reheat, you can warm the leftover back up in the oven for 1-2 minutes or pop it into the microwave for a short time.

Can I make this recipe in the oven?

You bet! You can totally make oven-baked s'mores with this recipe! Just follow the simple full instructions below and instead of putting the pan on the grill, you would pop the pan into the oven for a short time, too. Once the marshmallows start to look melted and gooey and a little bit golden brown, that's your cue that the pan is done and ready to remove from the oven.
